On Friday, October 2, 2009, Mack-Cali employees participated in Lee National Denim Day to support the Women's Cancer Programs of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF). For a $5 donation staff tossed their standard professional attire for a chance to wear their favorite pair of jeans and support this worthy cause.
On Sunday, September 27, 2009, the Mack-Cali/White Plains 5K and 10K Road Races and One-Mile Fun Walk was held in downtown White Plains. Proceeds benefited White Plains Hospital Center. Thanks to all those who participated.

Kennedy Parkway in Short Hills, New Jersey, hosted a car show to benefit The Valerie Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and support of children with cancer and their families. Mack-Cali proudly supported this year's Walk for Kids' Sake on Sunday, October 4, 2009. The three-mile fun walk benefited Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morris, Bergen, and Passaic counties.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has been positively influencing children's lives for 42 years. Through its mentoring program, the organization provides role models to vulnerable children, giving them the life-building tools and support they need to grow into responsible, productive adults.
The families from A. Russell Knight Elementary School in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, collected and shipped over 700 pounds of clothing, shoes, and towels to bring relief to the poor and homeless children of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Mack-Cali was pleased to help defray some of the school’s shipping costs.

The award is given to companies implementing programs promoting commuting alternatives and improving quality of life. The award ceremony was held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology on Thursday, May 7, 2009.

Mack-Cali proudly supports the Jersey City Joint Activities Program, which provides students in grades five and six opportunities to interact with children of diverse cultures in ways that create awareness of and appreciation for the natural environment. Mack-Cali has been selected by NJBIZ as one of "New Jersey's Fifty Fastest Growing Companies" for 2008. The program honors the state's 50 fastest growing companies based on revenue growth from 2005-2007. The award, accepted by Mack-Cali president and chief executive officer Mitchell E. Hersh, was presented at the NJBIZ awards dinner on November 16.
In November 2008, Mack-Cali tenants at 343 Thornall Street in Edison, New Jersey, contributed nonperishable food items to benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, whose mission is to alleviate the direct effects of hunger and poverty in the state. Special thanks to the staff at Crossing Media for its large contribution to the drive.

The annual Mack-Cali White Plains 5K Road Race to benefit the White Plains Hospital Center was held on September 28, 2008, through downtown White Plains, New York. A total of 286 participants took part in the youth races, 1-mile fun walk, 5K, and 10K races. Thank you to all who participated.

On July 13, 2008, Princeton Forrestal Village in Princeton, New Jersey, was the site of the 2008 Eden Family 5K, which drew over 500 participants and raised over $40,000 to help children with autism and their families. Thank you to the many tenants who donated raffle prizes and/or services.
Members of the motorcycling community supported the March of Dimes' Northern Metro Division with its Bikers for Babies fundraising ride on Sunday, June 22, 2008. Starting from Mack-Cali's Taxter Corporate Park in Tarrytown, New York, 200 motorcycle riders toured 65 miles through scenic country roads and finished in Haverstraw, New York. Over $40,000 was raised.
Mack-Cali was pleased to sponsor the 22nd Annual Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festival at Marine Park in Red Bank, New Jersey, from May 30 to June 1, 2008. More than 150,000 people attended the free three-day event that featured 30 live performances, food, activities, and plenty of family fun.
On April 27, 2008, Salt Creek Grille participated in Donate Life Day by donating ten percent of the day's entire proceeds from all five of their locations in Southern California and New Jersey to sponsor three local teams participating in the National Kidney Foundation U.S. Transplant Games.
Mack-Cali is proud to sponsor youth sports teams in the communities in which we operate, including this girls’ soccer team from the Whitpain Recreation Association in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
In compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s regulations requiring fluorescent light bulbs and computer components to be recycled, Mack-Cali has set up a recycling program at its properties. Items are now required to be disposed of in special on-site drums that will be picked up by a recycling company. The March of Dimes Westchester/Rockland Division held its Ride to Save Babies on Sunday, June 24, 2007. Starting from Mack-Cali's Taxter Corporate Park in Tarrytown, New York, motorcyclists toured 65 miles through scenic country roads and finished in Haverstraw, New York. This nationwide event raises money and awareness for local March of Dimes chapters.
On May 6, 2007, Mack-Cali sponsored the Go the Distance Walk to benefit Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. More than 6,000 people participated and over $500,000 was raised to support programs and services at the hospital.
Warm weather brings many participants to local charity 5K and 10K events like this one held by ARC of Essex County on April 14, 2007, at Brookside Park in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Mack-Cali joined the more than 350 walkers and runners to benefit the ARC members.
Mack-Cali was a proud donor to the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library, which celebrated in 2007 the second anniversary of its 38,000-square-foot facility. Built to better serve its growing population and keep pace with today's technology, the building features a community meeting room, children's library, teen room, technology training center, and more.
